Karli contacted me to arrange photographs for her and her friends for their matric dance. We hadn't even moved to Somerset West yet but I instantly said yes and that I would love to document this special occasion marking the end of their high school years.
The opportunity allowed me to see beautiful landscapes and areas which I have never been to before on my way to Die Woud (a wedding venue) just outside a little town called Caledon which is where we had planned to meet. It was such a privilege to photograph these lovely matriculants, their friends, partners and their families for their matric dance.
